If you applied before September 19, you have a chance, though may have great difficulty getting into a bridging course.
If applied after sept 19, hou must have an acceptable English test,
Just out of interest, you are applying to in the end, wanting to work as a nurselooking after people, in maybe acute situations, in acountry where English only is spoken in the health industry.
Have you ever worked in clinical situations where English is the first language spoken?
Australia does not have a national exam to pick up on poor English skills.
I myself would not consider ever going to work in any country where English is not first language, without being tested and speaking that country's language like a native.
Human life is most precious.
i was able to submit my requirements for rn division 1 at ahpra-qld with those above mentioned certificates.i just did it to try my luck..however im also planning to take the exam right ahead after a depressing failure in just one category of ielts.it was a dismay though and i sat on the exam in australia.been there as a student but i decided to come back to be with my family again while waiting for the ahpra result. a friend of mine got hers without ielts and im interested to know if any from here also got theirs with the same case. thanks.
--im just needing more encouragement and faith to ace the exam on january..God bless us all.
btw i submitted my requirements august 19 received an acknowledgement email a week after. until i again received an email dated oct 19 and ahpra was asking for a more precise secondary school cert because my years of being a student with the former institution wasnt clearly writtten and thats the only prob they mentioned.

Hello there!
I submitted my application to AHPRA VIC last June 25 and they confirmed receipt of my documents by July 4. Back then, I didn't submit any IELTS results as I was still working on my exam. By end of September, I took the exam and passed. Come October, they were asking for additional documents except for my IELTS. The same thing also happened to my friend. I, however, submitted my IELTS results together with my additional requirements while she, on the other hand, did not and yet both of us got the eligibility letter. Just to let you know though, a lot of BP schools are now requiring the IELTS exam even with the AHPRA eligibility letter so it's better take it as soon as possible while you're still here in the Philippines:) And more importantly, while your AHPRA eligibility letter is still valid.

Hi,
I have applied to AHPRA on 15th Sep 2011 ,without ielts but send certs stating that my secondary and nursing education are taught in english. After receiving my application AHPRA had asked some additional documents. And after sending all the documents ,I received an e-mail from AHPRA on March 06'12 ,that they have received all the necessary documents and i would be notified if i am eligible for registration.
Does anyone know how long will take for AHPRA to send the eligibility letter if i am qualified?.. I am really frustrated as it is taking very long time...I also wanted to take ielts training course ,but only after the result as the course is very expensive.
