Idea's for a unit movie "scrubdance" film festival

Published

My hospital has a competition between the units on who can make the best short movie (around a minute or two) about anything...hospitals, unit life, cardiologists who think they're the pope...(that was last years winner), nurses, eccentric patients, eccentric staff, etc. The OR is thinking of making one where a pt. comes in with a ton of body piercings and the nurse can't find the pt. because they're covered in metal. Then the next shot shows metal earrings, jewelry, gauges, etc. being tossed in the air frantically because the movie is in fast forward and they're trying to get all the metal off. Meanwhile, frenzied music is playing in the background. Does anyone have any good idea's for something? Same Day Surgery, PACU, and OR were thinking of something together (our manager is in charge of all three) and we want to have a cool video. Any idea's? It doesn't necessarily have to be about those units, just something that we can all relate to and laugh about. :chuckle

All the ideas that pop into my head would just get you sent to sensitivity training ;)......

I can't think of anything (sorry!) but I love the general idea! That sounds like a really cool thing for the hospital to do.

Filming surgery of silhouettes behind a well lit sheet can be hilarious. Just imagine when you start pulling a string of sausages out of the abdomenal cavity. It also helps for the "patient" to not be quite sedated and jump around a bit!

You know, this little joke is used so often in TV and movies...but it's still hilarious every single time. Great idea!

Hello,Keely.

I don't have any great ideas but it is a good thing.

Show them how dynamic a nurse can be.

Be creative and spread the laughter.
