I highly recommend you pay attention to your spelling and grammar. I know this format is very casual, but if you send out newsletters and brochures to "there" students instead of "their" students you will find people are distracted from your real message.
I would consider the ISMP and CDC alerts, JC sentinal events and even the networks news channels have cuurrent events. The ANA newsletter is sent daily and I always learn a tidbit. Events can be flu clinic in the Fall (give injections to fellow students or to local businesses), Oct is Breast Cancer month, Nov can be about nutrition, ---- again, current events can help shape your plans. GOOD LUCK.
Binge drinking...texting and driving...hazing...safe sex...self defense...sexual violence....drugs...stress...depression...suicide prevention...flu vaccines/prevention spread of disease...healthy eating...Google college health events for ideas, see what other colleges are doing.
Hey you took all the good ideas!

I am staff nurse at a private college in SC & new in this position. Besides caring for the students I was also ask to come with ideas such as: (1) send out monthly flyer via web to the students, faculty, & staff pertaining to health or things around the world. (2) come up with 2 to 4 events on campus for the academic school year. (3) creative templates to go along with the infor to send out. If anyone out there can please find in there hearts to help me I would greatly appreciated so much. To be honest, it needs to be caught up with the 2013, it is so outdated. Its been ran by a nurse in her middle 70's+, Lord bless her heart for years. My email kj2003@msn. Someone please help me or give me some ideas, samples, advice, & guiadance etc.
Thank You So Much
