Hello everybody,
throughout nursing school I've used a lightweight littmann classic ll. My stethoscope recently walked away and now I getting ready to get my first job in an ICU. Which one should I get that would be best for the ICU?

I really like what Fisher-Price has to offer. Always inexpensive and with the press of a button I hear sounds as clear as day.
But it honestly doesn't matter what kind of stethoscope you have. It is what works best for you. There is no 'right' stethoscope for an icu. I believe mine is the master cardiology Littman.
Just realize the more expensive your equipment the more likely it learns how to walk some day. A little engraving won't prevent that either.

I have a Littmann lightweight as well as a Littmann classic. I swap them out once in a while when I feel like it, or when one temporarily walks away from me. They both work great and allow me to hear what I need to hear. A fancy stethoscope is not really necessary. Half the time I'm using a crappy disposable one in a contact room anyway!
