ICU change

How much additional training is needed to go from a regular adult ICU to pedi ICU? I started in the adult ICU and I will stick it out here for a while but am thinking of changing to pediatric ICU? Any thoughts or words of wisdom?

The basics of critical care are the same; developing your pediatric knowledge base will be the hard part. Oh, and the psychosocial part is often a big change for adult ICU nurses. Dealing with parents and siblings can be very challenging. But it's so worth it!
