ICHS 2022

Updated:   Published

Hello! Is there anybody who will be attending International College of Health Sciences (ICHS) in Florida in 2022?

Am I wrong for asking or is there a crime for asking for notes.
Please, Do anyone have notes for ICHS nursing Fundamentals and pharmacology courses

I do not think you are in the wrong. I asked the advisor for study material. But have not gotten a response. I did read previous post where students, posted using ATI fundamentals and  Pharmacology books to review.  Please keep us posted if you come across anything else.  October start date here. Super excited!

I agree, I would not do it. I would call ICHS and ask if they even take those classes before spending a ton of money on them.

I would make sure you have plenty of time for homework, to study and read. There is A LOT of homework, case studies, skills videos. I've never seen this much work. They do not give any study material for testing so make sure you read your chapters and fully understand what you are reading. They are still getting everyone caught up from covid with clinical hours so they are a bit behind but the school is trying. Some are doing all clinical hours at the end of their program. I have not had any bad experiences from this school. Everyone has been super friendly and helpful. Once in classes, the professors expect you to be professional and act like a college student. I've noticed if they say something there will be 10 people asking the same question again. They will make sure you know that this was already answered several times. I started in MedSurg and Psych first, so Im not sure what the starting classes are like. I tested out of both with the advanced placement exam. I wish you luck if you decide to enroll. Everyones experience will be different Im sure.

I have a coworker attending there as well.

We are in California.

I think the Co Workers would have great info. Most of us are applying or thinking about.  I start October.

Great info.

They stopped pushing all clinicals to the end. It's back to each semester now.

I know plenty of people who worked fulltime plus overtime and completed the program. It is doable.

Right! Good luck to anyone that wants to follow this advice! I have been a Nurse for many years! This program is NOT possible for fulltime employees let alone overtime. Maybe if you are starting off with fundamentals and Pharm but I tested out of those. My class went from 300 to 48!! They have restructured the whole program as of this year. They terminated all of their professors with the exception of two of them and everything is completely different now. We currently have class three days a week for 2 hours at a time and just in one class alone I have 34 assignments due in one week.  That’s not including my other classes assignments OR the multiple other things we have to complete or attend. Clinicals are open as of the 19th and even then you will have 12 hour days plus your homework and live class.
Next semester will be my last semester and we have already received our schedule. We will have a proctored exam every single week including live lecture every week. All of this does not include the study time that you need for all of your exams that are proctored. They have changed the grading system to where your midterm is worth 30% of your grade, your final is 40% of your grade, and you have two other proctored exams in between those exams that is worth 20% of your grade. So the hours upon hours of homework that you have, is only worth 10% of your grade. You also need to find a time to study for your exams obviously because how much it will impact your grade. If anybody wants to follow the advice that they can work full-time let alone overtime, good luck with wasting your money. I can multitask very well and I can promise you that you cannot work full-time. Even our Medsurg 2 professor who is one of the only ones that did not get terminated even said it will be absolutely impossible. If you think you can skim by on the wo of your seat then you will not last when it comes to Medsurg 2.

I started June 6 and so far no word of when we will be going to clinicals. Which class are you in?

I agree there is a TON of work and homework does not count much on your grade. Exams are your entire grade. I wish they gave study material. I had no idea they terminated all the teachers. Why? When I signed up I was told we would be doing 8hr shifts. Did they change to 12hrs? That would be great. Hopefully less days to be there to. I do hear the professors saying everything is all changed and some students are struggling already and we are not even halfway through. I honestly have never seen so much work. I think all the changes came cause their s ores went down from last graduating class. We were told passing was super low.
