I will not wear an apron or fanny pack...

Nurses Uniform/Gear

I work on ortho surg floor and many of the nurses wear fanny packs or aprons with lots of pockets. I do wear cargo pants but still end up with stuffed pockets unable to find that darn alcohol swab when necessary. Do any of you guys out there have something that works without looking to silly?

smart scrubs has a "scrub poc" thingy that is flat but has a couple of pockets and pen slots in it. you can get it in alot of colors and patterns like flames, chili peppers and many others. i have a denim one and use it when i wear our facilities logo polo and have no pockets. it really holds alot and doesn't look too bulky. i think the url is http://www.smartscrubs.com.

if anyone is interested we do build nurse utility belts.

Fanny packs... *shiver* I think they went out of style for a reason. ANYWAYS I agree with the utility vest idea, there are several people in my hospital that use those OR there are bags... kinda similar to fanny packs but without the humiliation of it all that you can get that hold an excellent about of items, It attaches like a fanny pack but looks a lot more fashionable.

I am really hoping that people who use vests don't look like this, but i guess if ya need everything under the sun, someone out there can make yuo a vest with plenty of pockets!
