Hi I am a newly registered nurse in the Philippines, after passing my nursing licensure exam i immediately came to the UK under a two year student visa and now I am here in my 2nd month. I was hoping I could register as a nurse in the UK but the ONP requires at least a year experience as a nurse in my home country and i don't have that. Is there any other way that I could register as a nurse in UK without having that 1 year experience as a nurse in the Philippines? Please help me. Thank You so much

Requirements are 12 months RN experience and if you can't meet that requirement then you can't process further. Trying to use a student visa as a short cut will not work,
how about if i go to canada is there any way that i can be a nurse in there? even if it means i have to take some additional trainings or studies...i really wanna practice my profession
Canada should only be used if it is something you really want. If that is the case I suggest a good search in this forum for threads on Canada because the provinces will each have their own requirements and you will need to meet requirements and also at some stage sit and pass CRNE

SD102 says the truth, enough said.
Even on the website for the NMC says at least 1 year. If you want to be a nurse in th UK, I suggest that you follow the rules and reguations for international applicants. There's really no easy way out.
