Hi, this is my first post here...this may not be the right forum for this question but anyway...I'm a recent graduate (Dec. '06) and I've been working at a med-surg job for almost 6 months now. I'm really wanting to quit my current job and apply for another one at a different hospital; I can pretty much leave whenever I want since I didn't sign a contract, but I've been trying to wait until I've been at this job for at least 6 months and gotten my first evaluation out of the way, which should be around the 31st of this month. I know that's not a long way away but if feels like an eternity, lol. I was just wondering, has anyone else quit a job before your 6 month eval? Does it look bad to do that? Thanks :)

I don't think it would look bad, but I always think you need at least 6 mos. to know if you really hate a job or are just having trouble to adjusting to something new. Either way, good luck!

I graduated in Dec 06 too. In my opinion, I would stick it out 20 more days atleast...then put in your notice (2 weeks or a month, whatever they require)
Thanks! I'll probably end up sticking it out.
