So i have been trying to contact the BRN in CA fro about a month about a particular situation.

They have directed me to one specific person.

I leave messages and emails and the person has never returned a single message.

What do I do????

Why is it so difficult to get an issue answered and why is one peron as a specific liaison for a particular issue. What do I do?

has:banghead: anyone had this issue??????

If you really really want a response, send them a certified letter with your (polite) concern. Be careful to state your overall need for info; I wouldn't give the details in the letter. Ask the post office for a confirmation receipt. This has worked for me in other situations.

So sending a letter is the best way to contact them? What if they still don't respond?

How much can I ask?

Have you had trouble contacting the BRN.

Thanks again for your reply I appreciate your response.

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

The California BRN is extremely busy during this time of year due to all of the summer graduates who are attempting to attain nursing licensure. Unfortunately, queries that do not generate revenue tend to be placed on the back burner.

My querie is about my prelicnsure in a year. That makes alot of sense and i can understand the no calls and replies.

Do you guys know when IS a good time to call them again where I can contact this one specific person????

Thanks again everyone for all your help....

Its hard when no one replies to you from any institution.

I have one more year till I graduate with a BSN and I was hoping if I can just apply for with the BRN a head of time????

When is the earliest possible dtate to apply, since BRN does take a long time to process?

At first when I read your post, I thought you had a question about nursing practice. I wouldn't send a letter at this time asking about something that isn't really an issue 'til next year. I'd just sit tight, and wait until closer to graduation.

They are VERY difficult to get a hold of. I was only sucessfully able to get hold of them myself only once. After I kept getting put on hold, then hung up on, my recruiter was able to help me get ahold of them Im a Canadian Nurse, and I was getting my Cali. License, so it was in my recruiters best interest to help me so I could take a travel assignment. Unfortunately you probably dont have that option if your a new grad getting a license. Im just sayin...I feel your pain...I dont think anyone even works there...they never answer the bloody phone.
