Hi everyone--I am taking anatomy and phisiology I and it has been rough to say the least. I am maintaing a A/B average between lab and lecture, but we have now moved onto muscles and my brain is spinning. I am stressed to the max! I feel like I am worn out from this semester, we only have 5 more weeks left and I just want it to end!
I think I just needed to vent--anyone else feeling run down from class..lol
I'm a tactile/kinesthetic learner. I find graphs, dummies, actual specimen, 3D applications, or photos to be very helpful.
I'm not promoting or selling apps. Anyway, I purchased APPS of the anatomy/physiology. The studying has been less painful but more productive and pleasurable. I can tell you that the innovation of technology in sciences is somewhat very useful in my universe and then I get to play with the dummies and the actual specimen at the lab.
Also, I have a medical dictionary/text. This aid helps me understand the new terms effectively.
Here are my rules when I study.
20 minutes study: 5 minutes break
1. I have a timer next to me.
2. I turn off the volume of the phone. I turn on the Do Not Disturb feature with an exemption. I have a child, so I need to allow certain calls.
3. I sit straight.
4. I exercise; the breathing exercise and relaxation of muscles somewhat helpful (do your research on this or ask an expert if you're uncomfortable doing it yourself).
5. I study best at night. Yes, I am a night owl.
Overall, I'm satisfied. I maintain 90s.
I didnt do great on muscles exam but I also didnt study as much as I did with bones. A&P is hard, lol. Now I am studying the nervous system and I am so nervous. moI plan to take A&P 2 in a mini term in the summer in June/July/August and I pray I do good. It will be my only class though so I should be able to study more. We will see.

I'm in AP1 right now maintaining a B average in both lab and lecture. Just a few more weeks. I was going to take AP2 for the summer but I honestly need a break and scared to take AP2 crammed over 6 weeks...
