I have to take the TEAS and NLN-PN exam in 9 days! Help!

A school in my area is starting an LPN program in the Spring and I just found about it. They only have 30 seats so it's going to be very competitive. We are required to take the TEAS and the NLN-PN entrance exam. I have the book for the NLN-RN entrance exam but I can't get the book for TEAS in time. Did anyone out there take the TEAS or PN exam? Will I be adequately prepared if I study from the NLN-RN book? If anything I would think that the NLN-RN test should be more difficult than the PN test. I know the TEAS has a grammer section but other than that...can I get away w/o buying the book? I would really rather dedicate the few days I have left until the test reviewing instead of running around trying to find these study guides. Not to mention that I already paid $25 for the RN book and I don't want to shell out another $60 for the other two.

I just took the TEAS yesterday. The study guide from ati would help, the questions aren't the same as the ones on the test, but it gives you an idea of the type of questions that will be given. Make sure you know HOW to do everything in the study guide and you should be fine. I would practice doing the math while being timed with no calculator and know all conversions in the study guide very well! Also, if you aren't a strong speller, I suggest practicing by looking at 4 different ways to spell a word, trying to find the correct word. I wished I would have done this. It sometimes confuses me more to see 4 different options, than to just spell it out on paper. I was surprised there weren't more Anatomy questions on the science part. I also think you need to read each question carefully, and make sure you know what they are asking for. Overall I did really well, but I studied ALOT! I thought the practice tests I bought online helped me more with becoming familiar with how the test would work (format) & the type of questions it would ask. It didn't help with learning any material, but I was glad I did it.

If you have any other questions, just let me know. Good Luck!:roll

Im taking the TEAS test soon, I purchased the study guide, and came across this thread. So, you need to know ALL the conversions??? How about the formulas?? Are there alot of questions about conversions? Thanks for the help.
