Photos, photos, photos!!!!

Taking pics of the models, and studying those at home helped me tremendously! I also searched the internet for other models not in our lab. (You never know what the instructor will pull out of the dust-catching closet for a lab practical!)

Flash cards made out of index cards...you can even cut them in half to make them last longer. Quiz yourself with them.

Study groups, tutoring, science resource room (if you school has one), etc.

Many people in both my anatomy and micro labs took pictures with digital cameras and turned them into flash cards. I thought it was a fantastic idea. My school sets up an open practical review for a few days before the final, and there were flashes going off everywhere! I would ask first, but I think these pictures would be much more helpful than any you would find in a book. (For some reason the slides in the practical never look the same as the ones in the book!)
