so, today i received my bon results letter after 1 month and 7 days later and it said 'passed.' i'm officially a lvn. it feels great and i'm so relieved from all of the stress. please read my first thread on pvt trick. https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/according-trick-i-460072.html
this was my 3rd attempt at boards, and i passed. :)
i had about 190 questions and questions came from all sorts of categories.
i had to do 15 more questions but i ran out of time therefore the comp stopped me at 190.
first time, i used saunders cd to study + kaplans strategy purple book (failed)
2nd time, i went through saunders book and the cd and prioritization by linda lacharity. (failed)
3rd time, i focused on answering questions only!!
here's my study plan which helped me to beat the beast!!
* i studied for about 2-3 months almost everyday...took sundays off to relax.
* i completed the entire exam cram cd (2nd edition) note: i did not go through the book at all, only did the cd questions!!
* i focused on my weak points only from saunders cd!! (4th edition)
(endocrine & mental health) (2 refresh my memory for contents)
* lippincott's review for nclex-pn cd (7th edition)
( did 200-300 questions from medical surgical disorders; entire 230 questions from the nursing care of clients with mental health needs)
* nclex-pn 3000 cd questions. ( i think i completed the entire cd because i had started to see repeated questions..did atleast 100 questions everyday) this was the cd that helped me pass the boards the most. i focused on this cd more then any other source. :)
and i prayed to god everyday with a clean mind.
goodluck to the rest of you...
