Tips and advice are appreciated! I just got accepted into nursing school and will be starting in the fall! I am very nervous and any advice on the do's and don'ts would be great and any tips on how to study !!??

:yeah:

I received my acceptance letter back in mid-February! I haven't started the financial aid stuff for it but I have sent in my deposit. Now just trying to figure out where I'm going to live. I currently live in Texas (my whole family lives in Georgia) and graduate from Texas A&M in May. It's so difficult apartment shopping online! I'm definitely going to have to make a trip to Atlanta sometime withing the next couple of months so I can visit these places in person!

O wow! That's a big move! Good luck with your apt hunt : ) I was considering moving closer but now have decided not to. Looks like I will be making a 1 hour commute every day!

I'm waiting to hear, also! Any idea how long it usually takes? It hasn't been quite 3 weeks for me, but I'm already panicking! ;-)

I think I received my letter in the mail after a month. I just remember feeling like I got it pretty fast compared to other schools. Yes, it's a BIG move and I have no idea where I'm going to live. Trying to stay within a 15 minute drive to campus in a reasonably priced, but still nice, place... so difficult!

DID SOMEBODY GET INTO MERCER FOR FALL 2011? IF SO, HOW ARE GUYS PLANNING TO PAY. I love mercer, it is my dream school, but i always think of the cost. I also got into GPC for fall, so if i dont get in to mercer i will go to gpc.

Well, I plan on paying with lots and lots of loans!!! That is the only way : )

I do not know nothing about loans...mercer needs to tell me now, cause I need to start searching. $40.000.00 is a lot for two yearssss. Do you guys know if a hospitals here in metro Atlanta area will pay your tuition like sponsors?

Im taking out loans through Fasfa and that should cover most of it... But mercer also offers a lot of other loans. I will probably apply for some. It is a lot Of money! But right now this is my only option because I am definitely going. I've heard that once you get in after your first semester, hospitals will offer to pay some if you agree to work for them for 6 months after you graduate. However, I'm sure only a select few will receive that great deal! I'm not sure about any hospitals offering money before you begin nursing school though.

Yeah, well the experience at mercer and the fact that you get a bachelor's degree is probably worth it. Well good luck to everyone! Nursing is a great choice.

Yeah!!! Finally!! I received my official acceptance letter from Mercer yesterday! What a relief; now to begin applying for scholarships and financial aid!! I can't wait to meet all of my new classmates this fall. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting. Don't give up!!!

Congrats robine!!! I knew u would get in with those scores. See u in the fall!!
