I am in pre-reqs and we have orientation..

coming up the 18th. What goes on in orientation? I am so new to all this stuff. I am going to a community college for my RN.

orientation for the nursing program? Every school is set up differently...but for us we were able to buy uniforms and supplies (including shoes, stethoscopes, bandage scissors, etc) and then they kind of gave us an overview of how the program works. We had all of the 1st year instructors come and talk to us, they talked about how to enroll in classes (the first time everyone is able to enroll at the same time; after that it goes by whether or not you're an honors student (if you are you get 1st pick on your classes) and then it goes by how many credits you have. They also gave us our book list and our "homework" which was just to practice some drug math between then and the start of the semester.

But of course thats what it has to be for.

If you aren't in the nursing program it's probably standard of the college to take the college orientation. The tell you how to basically be successful in college--studying methods, professor approach etc...
