congrats....thanks again for your words and wisdom.
i too failed the first time around and i'm preparing to take it again sometime in March. Now that i have the chance to get over the disappointment i realize where i went wrong. First time i focused on content and now i'm taking a differernt approach i actually signed up for a 5 wks course on ncsbn and Q&A nclex examination. This time around i want to keep it simple and straight to the point. I hope this works.
congrats!! totally agree with your statement "nclex is nothing like what you learn in school".... i took my nclex and passed, but only felt like i knew a small portion of the content after studying relentlessly, Kaplan review course, and thousands of practice questions . it was a miracle!!!!

I am also taking it again in March. I did the Hurst review the first time. I am thinking of doing the 3 week NCSBN and also the 45 day hurst remediation. I hope that will be enough. I read there is a great delegation boook too. Best of luck to you.
It helped me with questions... definitely...first time i only concentrated on content...second time i did 200 questions a day.... and looked up items i didn't know......
Hi congrats! I was wondering which ready to pass did u purchases...the online or the class review? I just noticed they was a big gap in price online is $99 and class is $499????... Thank u!

Really...i was looking into taking the Hurst but opting out...but decide that i focuse on critical thinking and use the NCSBN for a refresher.....thanks and same to you. Hopefull, we both can write a victory blog once its all over with
The Ready to pass i used was just the book they used in the actual class. An old school mate took the 499 course and just made a copy of the workbook they used. It was very straight to the point and helped with alot of pointers and little details that i wasn't aware of. I also advise to review your procedures like sterilization techniques, eye irrigation procedures, steps to putting in Ivys etc which are fundamentals.....know the steps

I took my boards yesterday. Tried the Pvt and got the good PoP up! I have faith that it works so Im not even doubting it!!! It has worked for all of my classmates so Im sure it will work for me!!! This was my 2nd try. I went into the testing center with complete confidence. Prior to leaving my home, I wrote on my daughter's chalk board my name and the words R.N. i put it out there in the universe cause he said "ask and you shall receive" and I did. I prayed all the way to the site and before I sat to take my exam. I believe i got all 265 questions not really sure cause I minimized my time and questions but the last time I looked I was at 200. Tried the POP up again and still got the same message !!
I really feel like a monkey was removed from my back. I graduated in September ..too it the 1st time in November 22,2013..failed at 265... took a 2 week break ..picked myself back up and scheduled my exam. I analyzed my report and worked on the topic that i was lacking in. First Time around I took the Kaplan, Hurst, did all the QT and even tried Remar prep book......2nd time I only used Saunders , Lippincott and Lacharity...... I also used Ready to pass which was recommended by an old school Mate and BOOM it worked..Im an RN.
I left wall street life when i got accepted to my nursing program and have not worked since. Hubby supported me thru my 20 months of nursing school and my months of studying , financially and emotionally.... I was disappointed when i failed the first time but decided to get myself together and I did!!!
Everyone in my class was passing and I started to feel like an idiot!!!! I was one of the highest GPA in my class. It is true that the NCLEX is nothing like what you are taught in school. You have to think like the NCLEX LADY!!!
Have faith ....Believe in yourself and you will conquer the NCLEX demon!!!
