Hi everyone! BTW, I was ewoknurse2b, and I just changed my username to reflect that I just found out I passed NCLEX today! It was funny. I had two interviews with 2 hospitals yesterday and today, and the interviewer I interviewed with today was shocked that I didn't find out if I had passed the NCLEX. I wanted to check my score the latest 48 hours after I took the NCLEX, but she told me that in the state of Virginia, I can look up to see if I passed the next day, so she looked at the Virginia Dept of Health Professions website, typed my name, and found out that I passed.
She asked me, "Do you want to know?" Then, I said yes, and she said, "you passed." I think the whole hospital heard me scream, I jumped up and down, and they gave me the phone to call my husband and my parents. It was very funny!
Now, here's my dilemma, I think they're offering me the position, and I think I inadvertantly accepted, because I was so excited. I think the manager said, "When can you start?" And, I said next week. oopsss..:smackingf After I got home, I went ahead and called the recruiter, because these hospitals usually talk to recruiters to help hire people, and I told two of them that I might have inadvertantly accepted the position, and therefore, I want to be given more time. That's what I told them.
In actuality, the real reason I didn't want to accept, was because I'm hoping to get the position I interviewed for yesterday. I think they also want to accept me, because the manager said, "I think you'll like it here."
Did I say the right thing? Thanks for all your help!
Oh, for those of you who want to know how I reviewed for NCLEX..I really liked using Saunders 4th ed, the Hogan Prentice Hall Reveiws&Rationales Comp NCLEX CDROM..this CD is totally the bomb! It really helped me get a high score on some of the tests from the Kaplan course. Really review infection control, drugs, and prioritization. Kaplan is such a good course to drill in prioritization! Thanks to everyone who gave me such good support..I was really stressing out to the max!
Whoops..didn't mean to post again..sorry!
