Hello everyone!
I just thought I'd share the news to everyone here....Don't get me wrong, micro is hard class but with determination, you can do it! And my determination paid off....with an "A"! This was my last pre-req also...so I am officially done with pre-reqs! I start nursing school in August. I know this is just the beginning...But I never realized how much I love microbiology! I just want to thank my wonderful instructor, Dr. Pommerville for making the class much more enjoyable and it was such a wonderful experience. He never goes out of topic and he is always updated.
So anyone who had this instructor who wants to share their experience, please do so.....I will surely miss this instructor. Makes me want to take micro again...with him as an instructor of course:D
I'm pretty sure that all of you who are taking micro this summer or fall will do very good....just make sure that you keep very good notes and make sure you have your binders organized...it helps a lot! I had my binder organized in 5 sections: lectures, labs, assignments, graded papers, and extras (can be from handouts to extra sheets of paper)..it will make your studying life much more easier when you are studying for your tests...
Again, good luck to all the micro students:yeah: i wish you all the best and i will pray for all of you:up:
Thats great. Good that you had a great instructor and a fun time. Not everyone is so lucky in that regard. My instructor liked to make every test feel like a final or a MENSA entrance - you had to be able to think so far out of the box just to understand the questions, that the answers were often an after-thought! QUOTE]First Congratulations on the "A". That is awesome!
Although, my professor was more like the above quoted person. LOL He definitely was a little "different". Anyways, w/ such a unique professor, I felt great to have earned an 87 in his class.
Again, congrats!
Although not official yet, meaning it's in Blackboard still, I also got an A in Micro lab, had an A in the lecture last semester. There's a ton of info to study in micro and a lot to memorize. This course made me use every weapon in my orificenal. I rewrote notes, did flaskcards, recordings, drawings, practice tests, you name it. But it paid off. Sometimes there's just no quick an easy way to a good grade. Can't rely on teachers being generous and the curve.
