I have an OHIO consent agreement

Nurses Recovery

Published

I graduated with my LPN in 2011. I had a M5 that I was unsure if I could seal. No big deal to me since I had been prior a STNA. I signed a CA with somewhat simple guidelines. No supervising positions, home health, agency or private duty positions with quarterly employer reports. I have had no luck with employers due to this, any one in a similar situation? Job suggestions or even actual facilities!? Akron/Cleveland area please.

I have known several people with consent agreements and they got hired into drug rehabs. Good luck!!!

I've been trying long term care, they seem to have the least amount of worry about hiring nurses with stipulations.

Are you in the same area? Are you employed yet? I've still had no luck

Specializes in Nephrology, Cardiology, ER, ICU.

Dialysis is known to be recovery-friendly.

Thank you! I will look into centers

I actually just got a job in a drug rehab. But it took months of applying and interviewing anywhere and everywhere that had an opening. I had actually applied at this place three times before I got a call back. My advice is to just keep plugging away, applying everywhere. It may take a while, but eventually someone will bite.

Oh earth mamma! Thank you for saying that, I've also had a friend who applied to the same place on three separate occasions and finally got hired there. I think it's so important for us to understand that a potential employer may be lookin at clean time and not necessarily not interviewing because of our pas alone. Not to mention reapplying shows a lot of enthusiasm towards the position :)! And congratulations on the job!

Good luck on your adventure of nursing! For me though I never had a drug related charge and never had to rehabilitate so I can not understand why it's so hard and frustrating to even get an interview ! I guess ill conquer Cleveland for round two thank you ladies so much
