Beyond that, Kayla Riley from Mobile, AL, it is dangerous to use your real name, email and location on a site such as this (very public internet forum). Protect yourself; you created an anonymous User ID for a reason. USE it!

As for your assignment, contact a local hospital, medical office, whatever and ask if you can speak with an RN. Then ask that RN if you can meet with her and discuss your assignment. THAT is what your teacher wants :)

Your best bet is to contact a nurse in a hospital or ltc. The purpose of your project is to meet a nurse. This is an online forum and you can't verify if someone is actually a nurse.

OP....we are happy to help but the purpose of these assignments is to get the student out of their comfort zone. The interview is an essential skill that a nurse needs to possess. Every day we interview complete strangers and ask them the most personal questions in an effort to take the best care possible during their hospital stay. The interview is an important skill that must be learned like any other nursing skill. I believe it is the MOST important skill for obtaining information about our patients establishing trust and sifting through the information and non verbal clues is the best way to care for our patients. This takes practice and that practice cannot be in the internet.

Many of us here are educators an KNOW that the intention of this assignment is to get the student out of their comfort zone. You have had this assignment since August 18th for this assignment. You will get out of nursing only what you put into it.

You can go to your local high school, health department, elder services, flu clinic, CVS minute clinic, Red Cross blood drive or call to see them and set up a time....these all have nurses pesent so with a litle leg work you should be able to find a willing person to interview face to face.

I know that you may be used to social media but it is important that you remember your safety. Allnurses is an anonymous site but it is viewed by the public. You should consider not placing personal information out hthere for the general public and spam bots to gain access to your private information.
