Hi
I want to take the NCLEX here in the Philippines. Where and how do I start? I want to be licensed in California. They say I have to be assessed for eligibility. How do I do that??? I find it hard to understand the instructions from the recommended websites. How much am I going to pay? And some say that I have to wait long before being scheduled. Is that true? (I need to be licensed by June2012). I need info. HELP PLEASE. Thank you.:)

sorry, hon, but the people you need to speak with are in california at the board of nursing in sacramento. they will tell you about whether you're eligible to take the nclex, for starters. call them up. they're in the phone listings. no one here (unless they work at the board) could give you any more reliable information than that. good luck!

You can email the BRN and view the website as the instructions are quite clear. What you you will not be is licensed by June 2012 as that's unrealistic for this day in age. If you have a valid ss# then you can be licensed in CA. If not, then you aren't eligible. There are other states that will license you with out a ss# which at this point would still be pointless as you can't work with out a ss#. You will need to visit thr BRNs websites to find out which states don't require a ss#. Good Luck
