Another thing that can help is making the terms practical. At my school, we have study group where we would all get up and actually touch the parts of the body, and use the anatomical references. As for foundations, all I can suggest is study study study. Make patterns that help you. Read your books, write your OWN notes, write notes in class - then compare everything to make your flash cards. Utilize every tool your instructors give to you, because in the end that will help you succeed.
Good luck!
Hello my first day of LPN school was May 4 and we're working on anatomy and physiology and foundations of nursing, and I'm having a hard timeremembering my definitions for anatomy and physiology, and I've been putting my definitions on flashcards N I'm just not remembering any of it. I serious need help
Try to relax, honestly I though anatomy and physiology would be my weakest point going into nursing school, however I'm doing the best in that class besides Pharm 1. Keep studying those flash cards, and read the chapter like you're reading a book, don't try to memorize. That's where you're messing up at.
Use quizlet, the website and /or app. It makes games and quizzes out of your flashcards.
Don't just try to memorize words, make connections and learn roots prefixes and suffixes, i.e., brady =slow, cephalic =head, - itis =inflammation, etc. So many words are can be a combination of these so as long as you can break the word down you can often figure out its definition
