Nursing Students NCLEX

Hello. I'm a failed nursing student who has been out of school for a year. I had submitted my challenge to the LVN board in dec. and have finally gotten my approval. I have been so busy with work, paying off bills, and getting my life back in order. I have a new commitment to passing this test, but I have been out of studying for a while. I do remember a lot of things looking over a LVN review book and I'm not doing too bad on it. Can anyone recommend a great LVN review course, one that I can go to and listen in on a seminar because I'm a very hands on learner and can become distracted at home if I take an online course.

*Also I was wondering when I should take the test because I want to maximize the study time. \

Thank you very much for your time

Whether or not you take a live review course, you need to get at least one review book and start cracking it. Go to a bookstore and look them over to see what is good for you, Sanders Comprehensive Review is used successfully by many. As for the distraction, you need to get hold of yourself or you could distract yourself out of taking the exam at all. You realize you have already lost a year and have been given the green light, so go! Good luck.

Thank you for the advice! I've already restarted going over questions in an LPN review book. Now is the time to register for a class and for my test.

I used a book called exam cram nclex pn. It was very helpful with simulating the real test. I was given questions until I either passed or failed. I also used Saunders NCLEX PN. I passed yesterday......Good luck to you!:lvan:

Did you just study from books? Did you also go to any reicew sessions? How many hourd a day did you review the books?

I didn't go to any review sessions. I just did questions everday for two weeks. I did minimumof 100 questions per day. I also reviewed the rationale for the ones I missed. In the beginning I miss alot. You can get the exam cram at borders, print a coupon online. I paid maybe 12.00 for it. I also used saunders pn nclex. Just get use to taking the test. There were many questions on the NCLEX I wasn't sure of but taking so many test helped me pick and move on. Know your labs and basics such as vitals.
