I live near Dallas Tx and wanted to know if anyone could tell me where to find a Hesi study guide? I don't have a credit card to purchase one online. I've just begun the Rn program and at the end of the year, we must pass the Hesi before we can take the nclex-Rn. I know that it's a little early, but I wanted to get a head start. If anyone could help me, I would be very appreciative.
Thanks for the info. You did great! Hope I can do the same............I can't beleive they had you take it the day before you graduate....Our school has it to where if you fail it on the day you take it the first time (mine is October 10, 2007)...you can take it again.......AFTER GRADUATION!!!! Imagine that............you walk in graduation and if you don't pass HESI you don't get to go on to take the boards......It's not very organized!!!!!
Again, thank you, GOOD LUCK in your RN career!!!!!!! Carla:nurse:
Here is a link to an online Hesi in PDF. I think its like 100 or more pages. I printed it out at work. Just went in early:devil:
I just took the HESI in July. I bought the study guide and sold it on Amazon.com, there were some on Ebay at times. Sometimes you can pay there with a money order. I would check out the local libraries, mine had one but it was checked out and had holds on it.I also had to pass the HESI to graduate.. We took the test on the 16th and graduation was on the 17th. ( no stress there) Honestly, it was hard, and even though I had the book, it didn't use it to study. It was very different reading to me, very fact filled. I had a copy of the CD with the practice tests, and did those a few times.
My school required a 800 and I got 1061. You have plenty of time to get ready for it. Maybe you can call some of the other local schools and see if you can take a "practice" test. Good luck !!
Hi Im a pre nursing student and was trying to get into the program, but was told i have to take the HESI entance exam.I want to do well but just wanted to know the study guide that you have is it the HESI Admission Assessment study guide? If not what is the name?
hay guys,
my name is rehema(new user) about to take the hesi on april 16th...i'm really stressed out because i really haven't had time to study for it since we are so bombarded with so much other reading to do, clinicals and etc...monday is my finals for the semester and then my first hesi is april 16th...i have read a lot of the help tips on here and i really hope they help. i have the hesi book, the cd rom and the online prac tests that i can do, and i also have saunders which i have briefly skimmed over. is there any advice on how i can be able to cover so mucch over the next week and a half to pass the hesi on my first try? are there any students who have taken it in their college that have their hesi test questions, so i can get an idea on how they will look? please help me out. i go to essex county college in newark, nj. . thanks and i am soooooo stressed out!
please do not post email addresses in the public threads, as it is against our terms of service. thanks, the mod team.
has anyone had to take hesi for the 4th time this test is soo difficult i was just wandering is there anybody out there who can help me. if you still have a print out or something of what your hesi test looked like or consisted of it would be of a major blessing b/c i just had a little baby boy and it is extremely hard being a single parent and something preventing you from taking care and providing for your family this hesi stuff is rediculous!
Hi,
I'm from the Dallas area also and am looking for the same thing! I've been reading the threads and it looks like the Hesi study guide is not much help, so like you, I am also trying to find the best study guide out there. I'll be applying to TWU next fall and would like to start studying! If you hear or find anything of value, please let me know also!

Unless you are a fast reader and can memorize all that you read, I would focus on the HESI Hints, and the CD with the practice tests. The actual test was very hard. Everybody in my class said it was the hardest test they've ever taken( even boards) But most of us passed 35/40
Good Luck !!
