I live near Dallas Tx and wanted to know if anyone could tell me where to find a Hesi study guide? I don't have a credit card to purchase one online. I've just begun the Rn program and at the end of the year, we must pass the Hesi before we can take the nclex-Rn. I know that it's a little early, but I wanted to get a head start. If anyone could help me, I would be very appreciative.

Why don't you check with the Brookhaven Community College library. They keep copies of the entrance HESI at their reference desk to use in the library. You could only use it in the library but I was able to make copies of the areas I needed to study more.
The students at Brookhaven also have to take the exit HESI so maybe they have a copy of it as well. I would also check with the libraries at El Centro and Northlake. I bet a few phone calls could get you what you needed.
Good luck.

I got mine on www.hesitest.com Maybe you can call them and ask if you can send a money order. Or you can get one on ebay (sometimes) and pay with paypal or money order.

My school also had to take Hesi, and we had to buy the CD and studyguide on our own. In my opinion, if it's mandatory to take a ceartain test for your school-the school should provide the study materials, especially for Hesi. I would ask your nursing chairperson if they could provide you with a studyguide.

I used the NCLEX-PN to study for the HESSI test in my LVN program (it served me and prepared me well got a 1045 on exit HESSI) and am doing the same with the NCLEX-RN to study for the HESSI test in the RN program.

Why don't you call HESI and see if you can purchase it with a check or money order. You really need the book and it's never too early to study for HESI because it is really difficult.

I found flash cards and two books online. Just keyed in HESI testing. Just ordered them today so can't tell you how good they are yet.

I got mine online, but several of the students in my class got their's at our local Barnes and Noble, and most of the bookstores can order it for you if you have the ISBN. Hope this helps.

Hesi test.......This is the first I've heard of this test---can you tell me is this a mandatory for most RN programs? even the distant online ones, like Exelsior? Does it pertain to Nursing specifically?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I just read your comment and I just graduated in May from Montgomery College in Conroe, Texas. We too had to pass the Hesi before we could graduate. My school had a 4 day study session using the Hesi NCLEX book and workbook. I made a 979 on my Hesi Test. It was great for the purpose it served. Hope this helps.

I just took the HESI in July. I bought the study guide and sold it on Amazon.com, there were some on Ebay at times. Sometimes you can pay there with a money order. I would check out the local libraries, mine had one but it was checked out and had holds on it.
I also had to pass the HESI to graduate.. We took the test on the 16th and graduation was on the 17th. ( no stress there) Honestly, it was hard, and even though I had the book, it didn't use it to study. It was very different reading to me, very fact filled. I had a copy of the CD with the practice tests, and did those a few times.
My school required a 800 and I got 1061. You have plenty of time to get ready for it. Maybe you can call some of the other local schools and see if you can take a "practice" test. Good luck !!

did you read the whole HESI book or did you just focus on the HESI HINTS? I've got 7 days to study for it and haven't gotten a really great start as far as that HESI book is concerned...how did you study it? by the way great score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
