You should ask this question of the nursing admissions counselor of the school you want to go to. That is the person who will know if a C is competitive or not even close. That is the person who will know if you are allowed to repeat any courses, and if so whether it's one or two. There's a lot of questions to answer along with that C and the best person to know the right answers is that school advisor for that particular program.

My advice will be to take it over. Nursing school admission is competitive.

If you do decide to retake, speak to your school's admission rep if they will accept any retakes. Many schools do not. But if they do, they average the two; or still consider both grades.

You should re-take. Many schools won't even accept a C in a pre-req.
