Starting in September and can't wait:wink2:
That is such great news........congratulations!!
I had a wonderful OR experience at St. Francis Hospital and would consider it. For now, I am giving med surg a chance. Good luck!! :balloons:

[bANANA]Just wanted to share my recently confirmed passion! [/bANANA]
I spent 12 hours in the OR yesterday with several different nurses. I learned so much and really got the feeling for the job. I have been interested in the OR since, well since I knew there was such a thing I guess.
And then I was hired as a new grad into this rotating/transition/orientation program at a large teaching hospital. So I am not locked into a specific floor or shift yet. I've been working on a surgical floor for 2 months now and it has been a great experience, everyone says I'm doing a great job,and the manager keeps asking me when I can start, but it's just not what I want to do.
I've been doing a lot of research for the past 2 months, and checking out books from the hospital library, and of course reading posts here! yesterday was my second day shadowing in the OR and I'm sure without a doubt that not only do I want to be an OR nurse, but I'm pretty sure that after all my training and experience- I will be a good one too!
I left a message for the NM this morning and I cannot wait for an interview
Anyway, I just thought I'd share... and thank you to everyone who posts in this forum, it has been a great help to me so far and I'm sure it will continue to be:)
