I am looking to move to work in Dublin

Published

Hi all I am working as a clinical research nurse and I am looking to move to work in Dublin in similar post, its entirely for a change of environment. Does anyone know, is it easy to get clinical research positions in Dublin? Can anyone recommend me any good hospitals? I've been search for jobs on St James Hospital and St Vincent's hosp websites but no clinical research positions being advertised. Does anyone know where best to search for clinical research jobs in Dublin?

Many thanks.

Hello

You will first have to obtain registration here in Ireland to practice as a Registered Nurse through the Irish Nursing Board NMBI - Overseas nurses & midwives who want to practise in Ireland: NMBI

Then you will require a working visa, the Irish Embassy will have info whether your job category is in high demand and may grant you your work permit based on the country's nursing shortage.

I think the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) has the best employment opportunities in your field. They currently have 2 vacancies for Clinical Nurse Researchers in Dublin and Cork. Search Vacancies

Good luck...

Thank you for your reply Hooloovoo very much appreciated it. I do understand that I will need to register with the NMBI to work as a nurse over there but I do not require a working visa, as I trained in the United Kingdom and I am working as a British national. I have requested application forms from NMBI via email but I have not heard from them as yet, I will try and call them this week.

I will look into those posts at RCSI, I will give it a go.

Many thanks again xx
