I have had a glioblastoma patient for the last five nights. He is sweet as can be, loves a lot of attention and lots of hugs. However, he does have expressive aphasia. I gave him his meds, which he had a hard time swallowing. So I got him some pudding. He said-hmmm. good. Then looks at me and says Oh BOY! Do you look good tonight! I smile, feeling pretty darn good about the whole situation. Then he leans over to his wife and says in a loud whisper, my eyes are so blurry I can't see a darn thing!!! LMAO, well thats one way to do it, I guess;)
You mean you don't know what he said to his wife or ... ?
This is great, it's nice to have times like this w/ patients!

LOL Talk about a back handed compliment eh? That was too funny and it is great you can enjoy some fun times with your patients.

OH, now I get what the OP was saying - that the man said she was lookin good, then he was saying he couldn't see her anyway ... maybe he was saying that to his wife so she wouldn't beat him over the head for complimenting his nurse! ha ha!
