I don't know what to do

Take a wait and see approach. Don't volunteer the first week or two and see how it goes. If you feel you can after a couple of weeks, then go for it. Personally, I think you're going to have a full plate and not have time until you're done. Don't bite off more than you can chew, as you won't be able to give 100% in any of it.

That sounds good enough for me. But what shall I do or say when the hospital calls me? I already sent them a letter asking if I could volunteer just yesterday.

And I do think I should volunteer after I'm certified (hopefully.) By then, I already have my license, so I can pack my schedule as much as I want. Would that be too much to do? School, work, volunteer all at once? Does anybody else do that? If so, is it a handful? If not, do you still recommend?

There are many posts of people who work, volunteer, and attend school. Be sure to google on this board to read up on what others are doing.

I personally work, volunteer, and attend school. I have not received acceptance yet, but as I have waited I have knocked out all of my pre-reqs, co-reqs, and am working on my RN-BSN pre-reqs. By the time I enter either the ADN or RN-BSN programs I will be attending school part-time, working part-time, and volunteering part-time.

I'm not Superwoman. I am just very organized and dedicated to my goals, which includes improving my family's financial condition. Good luck.

Hmm, I never really thought about that. I guess now that you mention it, I probably want to volunteer Saturdays too since I have so much to do already. Thanks :)

And going back to what MBA2BRN was talking about, I still don't understand the whole BSN & MSN. I want to go for MSN, but people say that BSN is better than MSN. =/
