I just took the nclex yesterday got 85 questions

Please anyone out there what does it mean if u get 85 questions and the computer shuts off.

I think the results are posted on the BON (Board of Nursing) website within a couple of days so there is no reason to pay Pearson for "quick results" as there results are not even official. Maybe it it is different where you live but classmates have told me the results get posted fairly quickly here so I am just going to keep checking the BON website and hope for the best.

wow texas is good. i have to pay pearson for the unofficial result as nj does not post the result that fast. i would even pay 50 dollars just to find out now. :D

i hope we will both have good news to tell this forum in a couple of days.

By the way, I am not in TX but sort of in the Northwest, I am from Texas originally thus the handle, TEXS.

The number the computer shuts off doesn't mean anything. You could have gone all the way to 200 and still have passed. Typically the computer shuts off when it feels that there is a viable framework of your fund of knowledge overall. It is strictly by percentages. If you found that you kept getting a certain type of questions, it was because the computer thought you needed additional questions to guage your competency in that area.

Also, there is a very small percentage of people that fail. The program is setup to give you every opportunity to pass. In fact, the national pass rate is something like 87% . Like my kids say, "Chillax" you did fine.
