The importance is not remembering every single detail. The importance is learning how to work hard and study hard. How to put things together and have some idea of systems. Understanding that things are complex and also at times simple. The work ethic you develop in those classes will reflect when you are a nurse. This is what so many students do not understand. They say certain classes will "never be used" when they are a nurse. Not true. You learn to get through challenges no matter what they are. You learn the importance of deadlines and being prompt with work. You learn how to work with others. You are ALWAYS learning. Keep at it!
There is a guy on YouTube that helped me understand. Once I understood the main things the ss came along. His name is Michael Linares. Just look him up. He has SHORT videos on just about all topics. Also I practice with nclex questions either nclex 3500 or 4000. Read all the rationales and figure out WHY you missed the question and why yours was not the best answer! Good luck!

So I just completed Med surg and Patho 1. I had pretty decent grades, ended up with a B in MS and a C (literally one tenth away from a B) BUT I am pretty sure that I data dumped. Meaning I don't really feel that I learned the material. I have to take Patho 2 soon and I want to not only do better in that class but I actually want understand the material. I am going to spend time over the summer going back over the material. My question is should I buy both Med surg made incredibly easy and Patho made incredibly easy or will just one help. Thanks in advance!
