Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to read and answer my question. I graduated in May 2007 and fail the NCLEX (KY). I am curious if I can retake the NCLEX? Is there a time limit on when you can no longer take the test? I'm ready to give everything I have again but I don't know where to start. Please HELP!! Thanks Again

You will have to refer to you State board of Nursing, you may have to take an official remedial program prior to testing. They will be the best ones to answer you question. You will definitely have to retake some of the competency courses prior to applying such as HIV/AIDS as listed on you BON website as those courses do expire and have to be within 2-3 years of being granted a license. KY can also take nclex unlimited times. So just find out what courses you need to take.

Thank you for your input. I have contacted the State board of Nursing and feel like they keep giving me the run around. I'm actually waiting for someone to get back with me. I looked into the refresher course and it's for Nurses who have let their license lapse. Is this not correct. I'm determined and will be persistent. I just need some guidance. Thank you again
