I recently found out I got place on to the alternative list for nursing school. I feel at a lost now, I worked so hard for the last three years to get all my prerequisites done and working about 100 hours a week, 7 days a week with out taking a day off. I don't even know what to do now, i just spent about all this money out of pocket and effort to get ahead in life. I only applied to one closest to me. I have an undergraduate degree in psychology with a gpa of 3.26 a minor in behavioral neuroscience gpa of 3.5 and my prerequisites gpa is 3.7 . Honestly all the dead lines have passed for this fall, so I would have wait utill fall 2018 should I just give up?

One setback is not a reason to give up. Take a moment to let yourself feel negative, but then it's time to work on your goals. Yes, the deadlines may have passed for fall programs. Yes, you're on a waitlist. But, there are programs that start in the spring as well. Expand beyond just the school closest to you and look at what else is available. And in the future, never put all of your eggs in one basket by applying to only a single school.
