I'm going to nursing school! Of course, the letter is dated 31 July 2003, but the postmark was yesterday...better late than never, I guess. My orientation is Monday @ 7:30 am. Looks like things are going to be pretty busy the next few weeks before school starts...then the real fun begins!
I gave my notice this afternoon as soon as my husband called to let me know the letter had come, and it wasn't as bad as I had been expecting. Everyone in my office, especially the ones who have known about me going back to school, was very happy and excited for me. And I guess the timing is right, because I found out that they laid off two people, who have been with Merrill Lynch for twenty or so years, as of Friday. No telling who would be next.
Anyway, I feel like I've officially entered the ranks of nursing students! Good luck to everyone else starting soon!
