I GOT IN!!!!! I am so excited and happy to be accepted into Gaston college LPN program.I also am currently on Gaston college RN waiting list as #3 as I learned from the email I received.I am very happy as I have already accepted my seat in the LPN for evening time. Are there any other ladies that will be attending the LPN program at night???

Are you ladies nervous? I am very nervous after hearing from 2 students that it is really hard. I hear it is more complicated than the RN program..Does anyone who has been in the LPN program have any insight??

Thank you ladies and Congrats to all!!!!

that's great. when I applied last year i haven't had any BIO courses done. so no surprise to me XD. I wanted to just gave it a try. i took it test again and my score is able to apply ADN, but too late for deadlines. i will be apply bridge program though

I am a little upset I cant do the RN program because I have to work and the program is from 8-5pm so the LPN is great for me.So i'm going to do the bridge in August 2017.

i think their deadline for bridge program deadline is November each year and start at summer following year

MsCathey_84 You and I are in the same boat. I really wanted the RN but I have to work so the LPN work for me. I want to bridge in the Fall too. I know the deadline is in November but maybe it will be a chance to bridge earlier since we will already be in their program? Hopefully we will know in 2 weeks! I'm trying not to worry about this working and going to school in the evening thing. I've decided to get a roommate and I don't know how to feel about that since I'll literally be gone all day!

Oh I can only imagine your pain.I am only fortunate for one thing.I live with my parents,so I kind of feel a little lucky. I am looking into the LPN to RN bridge now to see how that goes. I cant express how excited and nervous I am at the same time.I know someone who just finished and said it was really hard. Then I know someone in the RN who said it was not that difficult. But everyone experiences are different.I just want my brain clear of everything once the first day of class starts

@yyu00001what school did you apply to?? sorry if I asked already? I know CPCC..which i graduated from 2 years ago...RN program is very very competitive. They want your teas at like an 85.Plus they have changed their requirements.I have so many classes I will be getting degrees until I have used all the classes the RN or LPN program does not use lol..I didn't go to school all that time to waste perfectly good A's lol

i applies one in Troy, NC. CPCC has individual required score for reading and math. overrall is 74%. It is very competitive.

@yyu00001 Yes they are.I wanted to apply there but my teas score was not that well to apply there.I have heard there nursing program is very good.

I could be wrong, but I think there is an LPN experience requirement before you can enroll in the Gaston College LPN to RN bridge. I'm not sure about if you can apply before meeting requirements though.

Here's what I found on the Gaston College site:

@Zenally... Yes I saw the same exact thing...It says you have to have some experience first unless gaston college will count your clinical experience. If not that is going to suck big time. I have been asking around and most places say they dont hire LPN...except nursing homes and Im not excited about that as I have been there before.

Well at least it wouldn't be forever! One year or 1000 hours for some schools is not so bad. You should consider moving out of NC. At least if you were in SC, you could start at excelsior right away. There are other options too, but I dare not say them on here. People like to attack on here. I'll see you in class by the way...we can talk then. :)

@Zenally I wish lol...and oh trust me I had to block someone who wouldn't stop expressing their personal opinions on a topic I wrote about me lol...and I will see you tomorrow at orientation !!!
