I got denied and I NEED HELP!

Published

Hi everyone!

I am a re-taker. Ive been out of school for 2yrs and now im ready to face NCLEX-RN. I mailed them all the requirements they requested from me, and waited for their response. Its been 2 months already so i decided to call CA BRN to ask about the status of my application. I called them, had a few exchange of information and then i was told that i cannot take the board exam because according to them, i lack clinical hours. How is that possible? I will not be able to graduate if i did not complete my clinical hours after all. Plus, this is my 2nd exam. I already sat down for NCLEX-RN the first time and then now, i cant take NCLEX-RN for the 2nd time? How? Why?

Right now i am so confused. I do not know what to do anymore. I cannot focus on my review knowing that i cant even take the exam. Is there anyone here with the same situation? if yes, can you let me know what did you do? I need to take the exam as soon as possible. :(

A friend of mine also told me about applying in other state, im just not sure how it is.

I hope someone can help me and guide me on this.

Thank you!

You need to check the boards of nursing in the other states to see if you meet the qualifications as an IEN, but you make sense in logic. Depending on why end of CA you are in there's Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah. There are links to all of the boards of nursing at the bottom of this site. Good

Okay. Thank you..

This is frustrating :( i dont know what to do anymore.

Get in touch with the Director of the CA BRN. If no help from her, contact your Senator's office and the staff who work there will contact the Director. Good luck.

Okay.. Thanks
