I got in! (CNA class)

Nursing Students General Students

i was so nervous but the ltc facility called me this morning while i was at work (luckily i wasn't' busy so i ran outside to answer my cell), she said i was accepted and the course and book will be paid for in full - will i accept?

yeah!!

i'm getting my book wednesday and will try and read ahead as much as possible. classes start on the 19th - mon, tue & thur 5pm-10pm and if the whole class agrees we'll do 4 days a week to get it done sooner but i don't think i'm up for that. i'll be working 4 doubles as it is just to make up for the days i need off. and starting oct 19th (or around then) we also have clinicals on sat & sun 7a-3p. goodbye social life, i'll see you around christmas time.

because the class is through the college that means i'm enrolled so now i'm a college student, i also have to keep my grade above 80%. i wonder if this will make my chances of getting into the nursing progem for next fall any better.

i'm so excited!

oh yeah and when i was at the interview i asked about the tattoos and they're fine with them, as long as they aren't crude, in fact there's a guy with two sleaves who's a cna who works there. too bad i forgot to ask how much they pay, i hope i don't make less than what i'm making now.

Congratulations in getting into a CNA program. It is a great start. I started that way and I just loved it. It is great starting out and getting accoustomed to people. You will truely like nursing. Well good luck with you doubles and reading. CNA is pretty self explanitory so I hope everything goes well. This will also give you a jump start in nursing.

Good luck
