I got accepted into Thomas Edison State, has anyone else been accepted for fall 2015

Published

Good evening everyone, I got accepted into the accelerated nursing program for Thomas Edison State College for the fall 2015 semester. Can anyone please tell me about the program, I would appreciate it. I'm also thinking about relocating to Trenton for the year until I finish school. If anyone knows any good locations in Trenton please let me know, thank you.

I've been looking but I won't buy until I'm accepted. Hopefully I hear back about an interview soon.

thanks so much for the information mbahas 85, I will like to know your response on the question and was it a group interview and how long was it thanks.

You should rent unless you plan on working in the area after school is over. I don't see myself staying down there lol.

I figure between tesc, tcnj and rider I would always have a tenant. I'd only be in NJ for the year then I'd be moving away. I have two kids so the rent on a 3br apartment would be out of budget-- I'm better off buying.

Have you been in any nursing or health classes before? I'm wondering how many people are going into this without any medical experience. These 2nd degree programs are such a mixed bag.

Not nursing classes but I've been in the medical field for over 8 years. I work as a mental health worker at a hospital on a psych ward. I also have worked as a tech on med surgery units. What was your last profession before you started a career in nursing?

If I told you my answers we would be here for days lol. How would you answer those questions? Also you can check for nursing questions on-line. That's what I did and they asked 85% of the questions that were on line. Just google nursing interview questions. If you need help on answering them, I can help you out.

I was a science teacher (sayreville and Ewing) before I left NJ. I am an LPN now but I won't work during the program.

That's good

you are ahead of everyone. You have the experience in the medical field and know about medications which will be huge. Yeah I won't be able to work either I'm handing in my letter of resignation in September.

lol. Thanks for the information, it is helpful .

Nah, I have a wide knowledge base but nothing specific enough to boost my standing. I worked mostly pt feedback loops with the Dr or in home health so I knew my patients specific meds but not all the meds. That's why I'm looking forward to finishing my RN, I promise if you don't use it you lose it.

That's true

I'm sure you will get accepted, when you do we all should do study groups. I'm also going to ask if I can speak with recent graduates.

I hope so! I really want to finish this already.

I'd love study groups-- they helped so much during my LPN.

Let me know what the student/grad says. I'm sure it's biased since the school picks them lol no matter what some insight is better than none. If they connect you with someone I'll send you some questions. Have you checked out ratemyprofessor yet? Some of the reviews scare me!
