Karenanda,
Congrats to you as well. I've heard that the interview process isn't a big deal, but don't quote me on that:) I should be able to get more info from some of the people I work with that have gone thru it, and I'll pass it along. I'm excited and nervous as well, but ready to get started.
Congrats again!!
EMT- Native,
I had a 3.93 GPA. I had all A is in pre-reqs and some reqs classes except for a B+ in Statistics. Another classmate of mine also got in with a 3.9 and another with a 3.8.
I had completed AP1, Eng Comp1, Statistics, General Psych, Sociology and 2 foreign language classes as electives. I am currently taking AP2 and Eng Comp 2. I just have Dev. Psych and Med Micro left as requirements.
What was nice is they seemed to overlook my poor grades from a previous Bachelors from 20+ years ago in classes that weren't required.
Best of luck to you. The class they look at the closest is the A&P 1 so really kick butt in that class. Eat sleep and breathe Anatomy.
I applied this semester but got denied. im going to apply again as well as Stony Brook. i took NCC for granted. i applied with A+P 1 and 2, Eng 1 and 2, med. micro, psy 1 and child dev. Stats, Soc and some electives oh and im currently enrolled in 3 honors classes and am in the honors society. oh yea GPA is a 4.0 with all mentioned courses 3.85 including one C ten years ago so go figure.
i heard they only accepted 40 people for the next semester- dibbs YOU DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you go girlfriend. let the fun, crying, anxiety, and rewarding days begin. its a beautiful mess, i wouldnt trade it for all the tea in china.
Now ENJOY the CRAP out of the holidays, its your last one for 2 years lol
YAY Im so happy for you, hopefully we'll run into each other on campus.
good luck, you got this far I have faith you will do well
Natingale,
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! I can't believe you posted your congrats to me - earlier today, I was thinking of how I owed YOU a note of thanks for all of your past encouragement. I had heard a lot of negatives from sooo many people about how "impossible" it is to get into NCC, but you have been really encouraging and supportive. I'm flying high - but of course, the nerves are getting a little rattled. But - I'm ready for the challenge and I'm so honored to be able to take it.
Hopefully, I'll get to say "hi and thanks" to you on campass. Enjoy your Thanksgiving Day!

Everyone gets so caught up with the GPA. Theres a ranking score too yanno. There are a lot of factors that go into getting accepted, Im sure there are people with a 3.3 3.4 that got accepted (i know 2 of them) Go to an open house, it will squash everything you've heard, and shed some light on the program itself.
Dibbs, thanks. Feel free to contact me with any questions, or to vent :)

Hi all,
Today I got my acceptance letter for NCC's nursing program. I'm sooo happy, excited and, of course, a little nervous, but I've waited 1/2 lifetime for this opportunity. Thanks to everyone that gave me encouragement and support along the way at allnurses.
Good luck and best wishes to all those that will apply or that are waiting to hear. Happy Holidays!:redpinkhe:yeah:
