and it made me think of the tread not to long about about how nursing "used" to be and all the time we "used" to have to devote to our patients. How we were able to wash them up and give back rubs but sadly that is not the case any longer.

It made me chuckle to myself-AN threads creeping up into my professional life and all that. And also made me happy as the patient really, really appreciated it.

I'd imagine many of your non-compliant diuresing CHF patients could use a nice bath, though.

Oh I just thought your post telling the OP that you wouldn't do the backrub even if you did have the time and your thinking it was funny combined with the "roll eyes" smiley that a diuresing patient could be made more comfortable with a bath and pointing out that it's the tech's job anyway might mean your attitude about giving backrubs and baths to your patients might be described as a disdain for that type of nursing care.

Sorry if I misinterpreted the true meaning of your words.
