I finally got my hospital job!

After working for a CNA for what is now 4 years, applying to hospital jobs all the while, sending out over 100 applications to said hospitals, have only 4 interviews, I finally got a hospital job! And it's at my preferred hospital, and they have low CNA to patient ratio. I'M SO HAPPY I COULD CRY! :cat:

I mean feb 4,2013. I turned down a job offer from Grady Hospital (pct pay: 12.03+0.15 night shift).

congrats! I also recently accepted a job offer from a hospital! :) its wonderful news, considering it seems like CNAs have little to no chance getting a hospital job! :)

Congrats everyone! I also just accepted a nursing care tech job at one if the hospitals in my town. I had heard it was hard for CNA with no experience to get a job in a hospital too, but I refused to apply for positions in LTC, because I wanted to be in a hospital setting. Since November I have applied for 96 jobs, and this was the first interview I had!

I guess what in trying to say is, to all CNAs looking for a job, don't give up! I honestly did not expect to get hired on to a telemetry unit with no experience, so anything is possible! Good luck to everyone looking for a job!!! :-)
