I'm not going to turn this post into a pity party. I didn't give one hundred percent this semester when I was taking OB and Med Surg. I started out doing that and then went out a downward slope. I passed OB but I missed passing Med Surg by four points. Even if I did just barely passed I would of felt like I passed but I didn't know a lot in the end. I believe everything happens for a reason and I hope to be able to retake it this fall. I plan on studying this summer as to be prepared for this fall and hopefully get an A. This was the wake up call that I needed I never failed as class so I'm not going to ignore it. I guess the whole point of this post was to vent and make lemons into lemonade.
Is anyone else from a school that doesn't have any re-takes? Fail and your dismissed. They *may* allow you to re-apply for the program next year but I know that a dozen students flunked last year and we did not gain any new students. I'm not looking for sympathy or anything, I'm just surprised because my instructors told me that our way was the most common for Nursing schools.
Wow! Sorry you didnt pass your class but I am sure you will pass next time. I am taking Med Surg in the fall and I am very nervous about it. I havent failed anything but this pass Spring I was worried if I passed my Health Promotion class. I knew I didnt give it my all and didnt like the feeling of not being sure I passed the class. Anyway I ended up with 2 A's and 3 B's for the semester. Good luck I am sure you will do just great. Owning up to your mistakes really helps put things into perspective.

Med Surg is a tough class and I think you have a good attitude. Some students would blame the prof, curriculum, etc. but you accepted responsibility and best of all, you're not quitting. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you get an A.
