HELP!!!!!!!!!
Nurse2011, I have been doing the ATI pratice questions online. The ones from the ATI website. I am stressing because we CANNOT graduate unless we pass this test. I am not sure if there is anything else I should be doing to prepare for this test. Thank you for the words of encouragement.

HELP!!!!!!!!!
This comment is the reason why I dont post on this site that often. Netglow if you didnt have an answer for my question than there was no reason for you to respond. I posted this question in the nurses section because I also wanted to know if the test helped with the Nclex RN exam. A STUDENT would not have taken this exam yet. I am aware that this section is for nurses because I am sure there are some YOUNG nurses or NEW nurses on here that are not too far removed from the stuff I am asking.

HELP!!!!!!!!!
Hello everyone, Did anyone have to take the ATI exam while you were in nursing school? If so, how did you prepare. I have been doing questions for sometime now but it doesnt seem to help much. My professors keeps stressing the whole "do 100 questions a night" thing but if I am not passing the tests how does this benefit me? Any suggestions anyone. Also for those who took this exam and passed it do you feel it helped with answering questions on the Nclex RN exam? Please someone help me. Test is scheduled for March 10 and I am pulling my hair out. I dont want to be bald by test day:):):)...Have to laugh to keep from crying:(:(

Coppin State Gpa
Yes I graduate May of next year.

Coppin State Gpa
When I started Coppin in 08 the Teas wasnt being given. The NET exam was the test to get into the program. Back then if you had a gpa of 3.25 of higher you were GUARANTEED acceptance into the program regardless of what you got on the exam. Since they have switched to the Teas I am not sure how they are doing things. I agree with others by saying Mr. Best and Mr. Boyd are the best and they will assist you in any questions you may have. I believe your chances are good as long as you pass the Teas exam. I dont think Coppin will lower their gpa requirements because they switched entrance exams so therefore....STUDY, STUDY, STUDY! I am sure you will do great....Coppin is a great school and I wish you well in all that you do...class of 2012:)

Patient Care Tech to Registered Nurse
Hello everyone, I am a second semester junior nursing student at a Maryland University. It seems like I am always reading about new nurses having a hard time finding employment. How beneficial is working as a PCT while you are in nursing school. Does that increase my chances of getting a job when I graduate? I really dont like the place I work for but if staying there would greater my chances of getting a job I have no problem with staying there. What do u think?

What is needed to become an LPN?
Hello everyone, What classes are needed to become an Lpn? I am in a BSN program and I work with a lot of Lpn's that are going back to school for their RN. I was surprised that most of them are taking the exact same classes I am taking for my BSN program. I hear them say I just finished taking Med Surg or I am about to take Patho. I was under the impression that in order to become a nurse whether Lpn or Rn these classes had to be completed already.

Coppin State Nursing School Good?
I am a junior nursing student at Coppin and like someone said previously it has its ups and downs. I will tell u this, Coppin's nclex scores may be low BUT dont think its all because of the school. Nursing school is difficult and Coppin's program is no different. Coppin's professors make u work for everything and wont spoon feed u any information. The resources are there and if a student refuses to take full advantage of them he or she will definitely fail. Coppin is one of the easiest programs in Maryland to get into but it is hard to stay in if you dont put in the work. Every nurse I have come across that graduated from Coppin State were excellent nurses and knew their stuff.

Dilaudid
Ok thanks everyone. Now I know.

Dilaudid
I am a junior in nursing school and will not cover medications in depth until my fall semester. I work as a Tech at an acute care nursing facility and the other day my patient was asking for his pain medication. The nurse (an LPN) said she had to go find Alisha (an RN)....the RN came in to give him his medication which was Dilaudid IV. Why did the LPN need an RN to give this medication for her. Are there restrictions on meds that Lpn's can give. Im very curious.

When did u know?
Hello everyone...Every year of nursing school for me is exciting like the semester before. The idea of becoming a registered nurse is a goal of mine that I am determined to accomplish. My daughter's medical background is what sealed the deal for me to become a nurse. She received a kidney transplant in 2003 at the age of 19 months and her nurses were the absolute best. I learned a lot about nursing while caring for my daughter who is doing great as of today. What made u know that nursing was for you and are u happy with the decision you made?
