Well, I got one semester down for fall 2009. It sucked! Since we started in the fall we had to take 7 classes at one time to fit everything in for the next semester. They added Pharm and it was just too much. My school the passing score is 75 fot the test and the homework does not count until we have an ave. of 75 from all four classes. I had an ave of 73 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!I would have had a B if she counted homework. I got a 74 on the final, she gave back seven point but the points she gave back I did not get any because the questions she credited I got right. I would have made it with four. The people who passed with a C got a B after homework was added. Our class lost 30 , the most they have lost for the first semester andyou would think they would learn their lesson by giving us that kind of load , but they are doing the same thing for this fall. Don't worry all is not lost for me, I am retaking Pharm in the summer and being re-entered in the fall for my second semester. I will only be one semester behind. I am just blowing this semester off with a couple of cooking classes, English lit and Poli Sci. I got my cooking uniform the same place I got my Nursing uniform and I about cried. I go and visit my socalled friends that made it to the second semester and some are still nice to me but others look at me as if I have the plague, so I don't go to the nursing building much. I sooooo just want to be done.:uhoh3:

Hey, I had the same experience. Your old classmates WILL look at you that way, but you aren't there for them....you are there for that degree and that license! I know it is easier said than done, but you will bond with the students from the next semester. With my experience, the people in the next semester were easier to get along with and they weren't as catty as the first group I was with. They all knew my situation so they were very supportive. Just be thankful that you are still in the program working toward the ultimate goal of becoming a nurse! Good luck to you!

I was in the same boat you were in. Yes the workload is horrible but it's not completely impossible. And the way my school does it, each nursing class is only offered in the spring or fall not both so I was set back a year. All of my friends are already working in the field and I'm still in school. It sucked at first, I went to their graduation and about died but I got over it. It'll all work out, trust me. I'll finally be graduating in May and I can NOT wait!

At my school they used to only start in the Spring and have Pham in the summer and then continue on to the 2nd semester. But or school was mandated to get more nurses out in the field, so they added BSN students to start in the fall. The regular schedule is fine and I got B's in everything, but since they added Pharm to the normal schedule and it screwed everyone over. As I said before we lost 30 people the first semester just in Pharm. You think they would learn their lesson , but nope they are going to do they same thing this fall.

I have never agreed with how teachers give credit for certain questions. I am normally the one who gets the questions right, so my grade doesn’t change. If a teacher is going to give credit for questions, everyone should get the points regardless if the questions are answered correctly or not. That would seem fairer.
