Oh my. What an experience. I do not and have never worked in an ED but it seems to take forever.
Went to local community hospital and that was terrible. I was in a car wreck and they did ZERO diagnostic testing. Not even and A/P -lateral of my neck. I was in a lot of pain and was offered no comfort care. I did not expect narcotics, but an ice pack would have been nice.
Almost left AMA, but ended up signing the papers to leave so I go to an ED at one of the satellite hospitals in my organization. They were wonderful. It is nice to know that there are decent places out there.
Disgusted with people though. There were three cars involved in my wreck, I was the middle of the sandwich. Not only did no one stop to see if everyone was ok, the man in the first car got yelled at to get the f*** out of the way. Nice.

Glad to hear you are ok. I'm sorry you had a bad experience at the ER. When I was in my car accident I was air lifted to an ER. They took great care of me & didn't skip over anything. I know how stressful & nerve wracking accidents can be. Then compound it with a bad hospital visit just makes everything worse.
