I dont have the SSN?

Published

Well, Hi!

i dont have a SSN, so what will I do then?I will be taking my nclex this january. I will be doing everything to passed the test. lets just say i pass the test. what will be my next move? I mean since the validity as what I read in suzzane posting, that the letter will be valid only for 3 years and since the US in is retrogration... so the possibilty is i guess slim. can i apply to other state so that i can have a license?. so i wont be taking again the test. it is possible? like endorsement something? iam not quite sure... please... thanks...

Much has already been written about California and not having a SSN. Until you provide a SSN they will not issue you with a license therefore you can not endorse. Before your 3 years are up you need to either extend your application file with Ca (some did that last year with success) or apply to another state by application for licensure, meet their requirements for foreign trained nurses and request Ca forward your NCLEX results. If you have not already submitted to them then recommend you don't (because you are talking about sitting exam next year) Try the search facility and keywords like California and you will find many threads already discussing this.
