Well peers I've done it; I submitted my application to a nursing program today. I've been a member on this thread for about two years. I've read countless threads about people who have gone down this same road. Oh how I've wanted admissions for so many ppl whose stories were like mine. The excitement of finding out if they were accepted was so joyous. The lows of reading that someone wasn't accepted made me really feel for them. It's such an emotional roller coaster as you wait your fate. Well now it's my turn......who else is in the same boat??? Let's wait it out together.....:) Here's to the
"Fall 2013" nursing students!!!!!

*whew* thank goodness. As you can see I tend to worry a lot! Lol bad habit!!!Brenay, I think it depends on the program. I know that the ADN program at my school separates applicants by whether they have already earned bachelor's degrees, associates degrees, 30+ hours and then 15+ hours. As long as you've already completed or are working on your pre-requisites when you applied, you should be fine.
So my schedule finally got sorted out, and I'm no longer taking General Biology and Lab this semester (thank god cause it's not even a pre-req for my program), and I got placed into Microbiology. So my final schedule is now College Algebra, English Comp II, Psych of Development, Biomedical Ethics, A&P I, and Microbiology. Whew. Ready to start this semester and get it over with!

Wow, X_factor. Me and you both have quite a load. Or as i like to call it....overload. LOL! We can and we will do it though! General Biology isn't a pre req for your program? It is for mine. Micro, Chem, General Bio, A&P 1, and A&P 2 are the requirements. At least we will be busy this semester!
I am so happy for you! :) I can't wait until I get to say the same thing. I am getting my prereqs for my BSN but I am only taking 2 to 3 classes at a time. I am a stay at home mom of 3 kiddos. My youngest is almost 2 yo. I could take more classes and start sooner but I just can't do it. My little sweet boy is my last baby and I spent 2 months flat on my back on strict bedrest in the hospital trying to get him here alive. I am dying to start nursing school but in the big picture of life I know I will look back and be so thankful to have this time with my last baby at home. I am thankful now but there is a little distraction with wanting to be a nurse now!!! I am going to do the same thing when I apply for nursing school. I am gonna post here and jump up and down with joy!!! Good luck.

Definitely overload, but I am excited to start! General Bio isn't a requirement for us, for sciences they ony require A&P I and II and Microbiology, along with all the other stuff like the math, english, art, humanities, psychology, ect. We'll definitely be very busy this semester!
