OH MY GOODNESS!!!
After tackling the mailman for the last 3 weeks, Thursdays tackle finally paid off, even he was saying open it faster when I got the letter from TNCC!! I think Im still shaking, I read the first line, and screamed I DID IT!! I ran inside and messaged my husband in Iraq to call me ASAP, I called and thanked everyone!! I popped a bottle of Champagne and just relaxed the rest of the day and slept for the first time peacefully in months!! OH MY GOODNESS!!
I wish everyone the best, Hope you get your letters soon!!!

YAY! Congratulations! I hope to apply next Fall for Spring 2011. Did you complete all of your pre-reqs before applying? How was the NET? Do you know the number of applicants? I'm sorry for all the questions but you have the inside scoop.

Congrats!
What was your GPA if you don't mind me asking??
Seems like all of these programs EVERYWHERE are just so competitive
I have no problem answering questions to start off
1. I have all the prereqs except for Micro which i am taking now. I did most of the pre reqs in the spring 19 credits and then the A&p 2 i did in summer in five weeks, I tested out of math and english and then took A&p 1 with university of Pheonix, they dont require bio 100 or 101 as a pre req for A&p 1, i took it a long time ago. Minimum points i was told include the a&p 1 for the nursing program. Take ******* **** for one and two, she is intense but oh so thorough and you will appreciate nursing more after her I was told by people who took her and now are Rn's.
2. well over 100 people I heard applied, 80 something qualified to take the NET, then 65 people made it to the test on time, the doors close at 1300, after that it was three WEEKS to hear!! Also they take the NET score, then where you live, you must be in the immediate vicinity ie peninsula, then points associated with pre reqs then grades! SO DO WELL ON THE NET!
3. The NET was ok, just know your fractions, percentages and ratios, other than that, basic reading comprehension, I didnt buy the eriworld, I studied the kaplan nursing entrance exam one. Which makes the NET seem easier.
4. My GPA was a 3.842, my only B was with Ethics, MR. *******, DO NOT TAKE HIM! It is like listening to Dustin hoffman from rainman, and then you have 4 true and false tests of 20-30 questions for your grade, and its not ethics, in the sense you think :angryfire. Its more kantian theories and utilitarianism and greek, aghhh still irritates me...I will never have to use that with a patient im sure!
Other than that, good luck and take the bull by the horns so to speak and dont take no for an answer (with admissions) Go and talk to Williamsburg admissions, ten times more helpful, faster and a lot more pleasant! Hope this helps!! GOOD LUCK
